Our Mission

In March of 2005 the members of MCC Anchorage held a church retreat, at that retreat we developed the following statement:

By the end of 2007 MCC Anchorage will be:

• A Church spreading God's love to ALL people, creating spiritual, emotional and personal growth.
• We will be a strong, vibrant church of 150 members, with our own rented facility, a full-time pastor, and a reserve of 20% of our annual operating budget.

As of January 2006 we are well on our way to reaching our goals. We are now a strong and vibrant community holding Bible Studies and social events, we are actively involved in the wider GLBT community of Anchorage, we have a total membership of 55 members and minister to over 150 people monthly. We now have a full-time pastor and we have also been fundraising and have developed a strong, dedicated Building Fund. MCC Anchorage is definitely on it's way to achieving our goals!!!!

What We Believe

• We believe in an all inclusive love shown by God for all people as demonstrated in the scriptures.
• We believe that everyone is created in the image of God and as such is accepted by God just as they are.
• We believe that we have a mission to minister to those who feel rejected by the church and by society.
• We believe we have a calling to social action to further the equality of all people regardless of race, color, creed or sexuality.
